FlyteVu built the ultimate pre-prom experience at YouTube’s NYC space for teens to leave tradition behind and customize a pair of chucks for Journeys and Converse’s annual ‘Off To Prom’ event.
The experience included a free pair of Converse sneakers from Journeys for all attendees, who had the opportunity to personalize them on-site at the ‘Converse By You’ station with hands-on guidance from YouTube DIY star LaurDIY. Teens also learned the latest dance moves from YouTube dance stars Michael Le and Analisse Rodriguez in the dance room, and had the opportunity to receive a mini-makeover plus beauty and grooming tips from YouTube beauty enthusiast Hailie Barber and a local glam squad.
The event was promoted by custom targeting through the talents’ social media channels targeting 13-19 year-olds in the New York City market.
Following the event, teens nationwide were able to view custom prom tips featured on Journeys YouTube channel along with tips on LaurDIY, Michael Le, Analisse Rodriguez and Hailie Barber’s personal YouTube channels.
Additionally, top teen outlets Tiger Beat, CelebSecrets, Sweety High covered the event and interviewed influencers about the program, which culminated with over 11 million social media impressions.
