Inaugural CITY Block Party

The St. Louis CITY Soccer Club set out to kick off their inaugural season in the MLS with a home opener match that would make the city of St. Louis proud. FlyteVu was hired to produce an event designed to provide fans with a distinct celebration of their hometown team and to  celebrate the team taking on its first-ever season in a brand new state-of-the-art stadium. The goal for hosting the event was to invite and entice the community of St. Louis to celebrate with the team and each other, with a focus on targeting a younger and more diverse audience than the typical season ticket holder.

FlyteVu conceptualized the first-ever CITY  Block Party, a block-party-meets-music-festival, with custom built elements to appeal to all ages. From family friendly games and prizes to food trucks featuring local fare, and Instagram-worthy photo opps to live music featuring local and national Talent, the event has something for all. To ensure buzz and excitement locally and nationally, FlyteVu secured STL native and multi-platinum record producer Metro Boomin to headline the event, with additional performances by 8x GRAMMY Award winner Anderson .Paak, who DJ’d an all vinyl set as DJ Pee .Wee, St. Louis City SC Director of Musical Experience and rapper Mvstermind, St. Louis R&B/Soul artist  Kennedy Holmes, and local DJ Mahf – bringing together a once-in-a-lifetime free concert for the community.
