Donate My Wage

Create an opportunity in support of ‘Black Out Tuesday’ for individuals, specifically the Nashville music industry, to donate to Black organizations advancing racial equality and justice.

FlyteVu created and launched DonateMyWage.org, alongside partners Aardvark Brigade, on June 2^nd, 2020 for individuals to calculate and donate their day’s wage to Black organizations fighting racial injustice . The music industry collectively recognized and acknowledged that its collective success was due to the talents of many Black artists, and put words into action with financial support.

Following the initial launch, supermodel and activist Joan Smalls reached out to FlyteVu to help re-launch the website highlighting more organizations specifically selected by Smalls and to challenge the fashion & beauty industry. Smalls pledged 50% of her wages for the remainder of 2020 to Black Lives Matter organizations and partnered with IMG, global leaders in Fashion, who donated $250,000 to organizations through the site.
