High-Level Job Description

Under supervision of the Head of Talent & Partnerships, this full-time Senior Director position will be responsible for the day-to-day strategy, management, and execution of FlyteVu talent partnerships, explicitly leading the Influencer marketing practice and associated FlyteVu external partnerships. Management reserves the right to convert the position to a Client Service role if needed.

Detailed Job Description / Responsibilities

Relationships

  • Build relationships with Talent and Talent teams, prioritizing managers with relevant talent representatives.
  • Attend at least 4 industry events monthly to build relationships and represent FlyteVu to the entertainment community
  • Ensure Talent managers are invited to FlyteVu activations, parties, and events to introduce them to the Company and build trust.
  • Travel to LA, NYC, and Atlanta at the Head of Talent’s direction to meet and gain relevant Talent knowledge across Sports, Music, Gaming, TV/Film, and Influencers
  • Disseminate relevant Talent info to Client Teams and Clients, with approval from Account Directors.

Vetting

  • Talent Research – Manage the day-to-day research of Talent and Influencers using Julius, industry relationships, etc. 
  • Data Pulling – Provide and organize detailed data to support research and reasoning paired with Talent.
  • Talent Recommendations – Manage research and suggestions for Talent applicable to Phase 1 concepts and provide quantitative and qualitative data to support the rationale for Talent suggestions.
  • Talent Idea Lists – Manage running talent lists for each client where both influencer and traditional talent names are aggregated for reference.
  • Brainstorms – Attend and provide specific Talent and/or Influencer input to all brainstorming sessions for assigned clients after reviewing all provided briefs.

Talent Deal Negotiation/Deal Memo Drafts

  • InfluencersLead the contracting and negotiation process for all short-form or template deal memos/contracts for Influencer Agreements.
  • Talent – Draft template deal memos for Head of Talent and Accounts to review. Talent Director must be able to lead negotiation and enter details into a long-form agreement. The Talent Director must be able to handle red lines in contracts with the Head of Talent's support and oversight.

Program Execution

  • Liaise with Account team to ensure successful execution and delivery of agreed-upon deal points from the signed deal through the end of the program/partnership.
  • Ensure proper handoff for execution to Account team once deliverables and creative direction are final unless the nature of the program or Talent relationship requires otherwise.
  • Support Account Director/Manager through any issues that may arise and require pivots in creative direction or for contractual deliverables to be adjusted.
  • Verify any sensitive information (e.e., payment information) with the designated Talent point of contact to avoid fraud.

Brand Partnerships

  • Upon direction from account leads, reach out to brands on behalf of clients leveraging Sponsor United and FlyteVu's relationships.
  • Ideate, create, and sell in mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Draft initial deal terms in partnership with the Account team.

Manage Resources & Contractors

  • Talent Task Force – Support the Head of Talent in managing all entertainment industry relationships, staying in the know on music releases, upcoming projects, etc.
  • Talent Resourcing Tool(s) Management – Manage the day-to-day operations of Talent Management Tool(s) (i.e. Julius, databases, etc.) and all functions necessary to keep it running effectively and up-to-date. Responsible for Team training and education.
  • Manage Talent Contractors as appropriate and approved for specific projects:
    • Draft Contractor scopes of work with clear KPIs, timelines, and deliverables and send them to the Head of Talent for approval and signature.
    • Oversee Contractor work, ensuring all work is accurate and meets Client objectives and FlyteVu's quality standards.
    • Hold the Contractor accountable for meeting all deadlines and deliverables.

  • Be available via phone, Slack, and email during business hours (9am-5pm CT Monday through Friday).
  • Be available and willing to work during non-business hours, including weekends and additional hours beyond the 40-hour work week as needed.

Required Competencies/Skills

  • 8+ years of Talent/Partnership experience in agency or talent management roles; entertainment and brand partnerships experience required.
  • Strong understanding and ability to create brand marketing strategies across entertainment and culture.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage team members and develop talent.
  • Excellent English language proficiency.
  • Problem=solving mentality with the ability to think independently and challenge onesel to learn and grow.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work with ambiguity at times.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Apple Keynote.
  • Experience across 360 marketing campaigns (creative, media, content, social, PR, events).
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, hard-deadline environments.

Education Required

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
