Location: Nashville, TN

High-Level Job Description:

Under general supervision, with latitude for independent judgment and decision, is responsible for supporting day-to-day functions for the FlyteVu publicity team. The Publicity Coordinator will work with FlyteVu team members to activate and execute marketing & publicity plans o/b/o FlyteVu clients.

Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:  

  • Work closely with FlyteVu’s PR team to execute and coordinate all PR programs
  • Contribute to the Publicity Strategy for each Client program, activation and/or platform. Research, pursue and contribute creative ideas, new opportunities, and campaign strategies during Team Brainstorms
  • Research new media opportunities daily to gain an understanding of the changing press landscape
  • Pitch local, regional and national trade and consumer press for PR campaigns
  • Assist with on-site activation and fulfillment of client programs locally
  • Work closely with the team to track and monitor program metrics/analytics and generate appropriate reporting
  • Coordinate external and internal meetings for the PR team
  • Assist with securing vendors or third-party photographers, videographers as needed
  • Create schedules, talking points, run of shows, and all required media documents for Talent or Client press days
  • Manage and organize projects, timelines, deliverables as needed through FlyteVu systems and software
  • General office tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to effectively communicate internally and/or externally in a manner consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct and core values
  • Manage client reporting for all on-going projects
  • Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information
  • Must be able and willing to work during non-business hours as needed or required to fulfill job requirements

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain campaign timelines
  • Must have a problem-solving mentality
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines
  • Work well under pressure
  • Must have strong internal communications skills
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work with ambiguity at times
  • Ability to think ahead and challenge oneself to learn and grow
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, Apple Keynote

Additional Preferences/Not Required:

  • Entertainment or music experience
  • Experience with Basecamp or other Project Management Software
  • Experience with time tracking software
  • Experience with Dropbox or file management software

Education Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.
