High Level Job Description

Under supervision of the Director of Integrated Media, this full-time role will be responsible for the performance and success of public relations and custom media integration services for FlyteVu Agency and Client programs. The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize campaigns strategically, lead effectively and strengthen client relationships by ensuring overall campaign success.   

Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for leading and building Client press strategies and programs against assigned programs or retainers 
  • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with publicists, managers, agents within the entertainment industry 
  • Activate against a strong solid database of high-level media contacts and continuously builds new relationships on a local, regional, and national level
  • Cultivate key relationships with FlyteVu clients, agency partners, and 3rd party vendors 
  • Pitch local, regional, and national press on behalf of Clients and FlyteVu to secure earned press placements and stories
  • Explore, vet, negotiate and manage media integrations and partnerships
  • Manage PR team day to day: supervise, lead, train and inspire the PR team with best practices and sound recommendations, prioritize projects and deadlines for completion
  • Communicate & present plans to Clients as needed
  • Responsible for success of Client programs, including strategy adjustments mid-campaign or Crisis Communication responses
  • Manage PR deliverables for Talent and contracts
  • Input into project scopes and press requirements in collaboration with Account leads and ensure execution of appropriate budget forecasting and planning
  • Craft compelling brand narratives through press and media from research, insights and data, articulating findings in a clear way to project stakeholders
  • Problem solve creatively and be solution-focused
  • Forecast trends and present new opportunities in press and media to agency leadership with clear recommendations to grow business and teams and contribute to the Company’s overall growth
  • Desire for continued learning of changes & innovation within the arts, tech & media industries
  • Create & adjust internal processes to ensure efficient communication between FlyteVu PR and the other FlyteVu internal teams, including Accounts, Creative, Talent and Production
  • Effectively communicate internally and externally in a manner consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct and core values
  • Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information
  • Able and willing to work during non-business hours as needed or required to fulfill job requirements

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • 3-5+ years public relations or mass communications, specialized in entertainment, music and brands
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to develop 360 marketing campaigns
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines
  • Must be open to travel 
  • Work well under pressure 
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with ability to work with ambiguity at times
  • Ability to think ahead, independently and challenge oneself to learn and grow
  • Must lead-by-example and foster supportive environment for agency
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, Apple Keynote 
  • Proven track record of converting stories to coverage
  • Proficient in the use of media monitoring and communications platforms such as Cision/Meltwater

Additional Preferences/Not Required:

  • Event management experience  
  • Experience with Basecamp or other Project Management Software 
  • Experience with time tracking software 
  • Experience with file management software

Education Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
