High Level Job Description:

The Head of Production will lead all experiential projects and activations for our Clients, while also leading and supporting the FlyteVu Production team. The role’s responsibilities include leading and growing the Production team, working closely with the Head of Accounts to ensure proper resourcing of team members to service Client accounts, lead production conversations with Clients and Vendors, assist client account and production teams to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, budgets, recap reports, and work with the CFO on invoicing for projects. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent leadership abilities, time management and communication skills, as you’ll lead and collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.

Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:  

  • Grow and build the FlyteVu Production Team
  • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with FlyteVu accounts, agency partners, 3rd parties, vendors and other partners as needed to execute campaigns and create new opportunities for clients/ prospects
  • Oversee and attend all FlyteVu productions and ensure quality standards are met
  • Assist in new business pitches
  • Oversee project management activities, resources, equipment and information
  • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes for younger team members
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
  • Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
  • Review, prepare and/or approve all production budgets
  • Lead all negotiations with vendors or third-parties as needed for projects
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Ladder up any issues to Partners,
  • Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
  • Oversee Production team to manage client reporting for all on-going projects
  • Must be able to effectively communicate internally and externally in a manner consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct and core values
  • Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information
  • Must be able and willing to work during non-business hours as needed or required to fulfill job requirements

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • 15+ years production experience including experiential, content/production, etc.  
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain budgets and campaign timelines
  • Must have problem-solving mentality
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines
  • Work well under pressure
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with ability to work with ambiguity at times
  • Ability to think ahead, independently and challenge oneself to learn and grow
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, Apple Keynote

Additional Preferences/Not Required:

  • Entertainment or music industry experience
  • Experience with Basecamp or other Project Management Software
  • Experience with time tracking software
  • Experience with file management software

Education Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
