High-Level Job Description:

Under the supervision of Agency Partners, this full-time role will be responsible for the performance and success of the assigned accounts team. The Account Director will establish a campaign strategy, maintain revenue goals & ensure proper client management. The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize campaigns strategically, lead effectively and strengthen client relationships by ensuring overall campaign success. 

Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:  

  • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with FlyteVu accounts, agency partners, 3rd parties, vendors, media outlets and other partners as needed to execute campaigns and create new opportunities for clients/ prospects
  • Ability to work and oversee multiple accounts from a strategic planning perspective
  • Acquire thorough knowledge of client’s business to anticipate marketing and advertising challenges and opportunities
  • Draft, negotiate and manage Client Scopes of Work for projects or retainers based on hourly billing rates and budgets
  • Ensure supervision, proper training, support & reviews for Account Managers and Coordinators
  • Manage Phase 1 new campaign creation, with final approval on strategy, brief, budget, campaign guidelines, timeline, talent contracts, and KPIs
  • Lead and assist in all client pitch presentations, selling in new business opportunities to decision-makers
  • Oversee, review and analyze all client-facing deliverables
  • Provide monthly billing reconciliation, reporting and invoicing to partners
  • Proactively manage client expectations and deliver exemplary customer service
  • Meet or exceed the client’s expectation of knowledge and professionalism
  • Escalate any issues that impact the successful execution of the work to Partners before the client is negatively affected
  • Review all contracts for Talent as necessary, working with Director of Creative & Talent to finalize
  • Promote & enforce agency process and agency values
  • Participate in networking activities in an effort to gain new business and new partners, and organically grow business with clients
  • Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information
  • Must be able to effectively communicate internally and externally in a manner consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct and core values
  • Assist with on-site activation and fulfillment of client programs, which require that employee:
    • Must be able to travel without restriction
    • Must be physically able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs and load/unload, setup and teardown, etc.
    • Must pass a background check
  • Must be able and willing to work during non-business hours as needed or required to fulfill job requirements

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • 8+ years of agency marketing experience in account management or brand management role
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain budgets and campaign timelines
  • Experience managing a team
  • Must have a problem-solving mentality
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines
  • Must be open to travel
  • Work well under pressure
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work with ambiguity at times
  • Ability to think ahead, independently and challenge oneself to learn and grow
  • Must lead-by-example and foster a supportive environment for agency
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, Apple Keynote

Additional Preferences/Not Required:

  • Event management experience 
  • Experience with Basecamp or other Project Management Software
  • Experience with time tracking software
  • Experience with file management software

Education Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field.
